About a week ago, I lamented the fact that no-one seems to take Hollyoaks seriously.
Sure, it might have started out as a bit of a fluffy teen soap, but it has graduated into a fully-fledged drama since then.
The plots are gripping, the acting, generally, is excellent and hardly any of the characters appear to be there purely to top up the totty count.
But while the BAFTA judges may still be oblivious to its success, it appears soap fans aren't.
Which is why, at the awards the fans vote for, the soap did remarkably well - beating Emmerdale and Eastenders in terms of number of gongs collected on the night at the Soap Awards.
You can read about their success here - let's hope it is just the start.
