Tonight's telly: Sex, the City and Me/Graham Norton (with videoes)

NEW drama seems in the must-do thing on British telly a the moment. After the excellent opener to Jekyll last night on BBC 1, and ahead of a plethora of one-offs and multi-parters coming up on ITV 1 over the next few weeks, BBC 2 is getting into the act with Sex, The City And Me.

Airing tonight at 9pm, the drama follows Sarah Parish as Jess, a city high-flier who is sacked for getting pregnant.

Based on real interviews with women who have experienced and fought sex discrimination cases in the City, the drama stars Cutting It star Parish's character as she decides to fight back against the banks.

She hires a hot shot lawyer called Ruth Gilbert (played by Sarah Lancashire) to fight her case. In short, it becomes a modern-day David v Goliath, to coin an awful newspaper description of these things.

On a lighter note, and still on BBC 2, Graham Norton Uncut (clip from last week's show) once again is on form with his risque comedy-cum-chat show.

First aired on Thursday, tonight's episode is the longer version. Last week, he ripped into the 2012 Olympic logo (see clip link above) and got Enrique Iglesias talking about naked water-skiing, before getting people in the audience's mums talk dirty down the phone to the Latino star.

Tonight, Graham gets up close and personal with rocker Jon Bon Jovi and actress Joanna Lumley. Good fun to end the weekend.
