Comedy gold discovered on YouTube

Posted by Remote Control on August 27, 2007 12:37 AM |

Perhaps this is the sort of thing I should be leaving to our Geek Chic blogger but he's not here, and it's a bank holiday, so who cares?

I think I've found the best use ever for YouTube - YMCA covers. If you thought the original was random in the extreme, you ain't seen nothing yet. And for anyone who is at the Mathew Street Festival this weekend, the Chinese Beatles haven't got anything on this lot.

First up are the Finnish YMCA singers who are sweeping the web like wildfire at the moment.

Then there's Korean version which reminds me of the infamous singing hamster. Simon Cowell, nothing you've had to put up with matches up to this!

And if you thought having to listen to the song in a cheesy Euro bar in Cyprus was punishment enough, then have you ever thought about being made to dance to it as part of your prison sentence?

Even random cartoon dogs and hippos (I think it's a hippo anyway) can't resist the urge to do a version.

Then there's the Japanese fighting cartoon characters, not to mention The Majorcan version, and the absolute Mutt's Nuts, The Star Wars version, (of which there is a Yoda version here )
