I was gutted when Virgin Media binned off Sky News. For some reason, we get cable in the office, not Sky, so we were left with News 24.
Now, News 24 isn't bad, it's just that it, well, lacks the glamour and edge of Sky News, in my opinion (although Peter Sissons is always a treat on a Saturday afternoon when he comes out with comments such as 'now, you don't see that [a burning jeep] at Glasgow Airport every day."
But News 24 does have some little tricks which beat Sky.
And one of them is Newsbeat's Oddboxa> which, admittedly, they've nicked from Radio One.
But hey, that doesn't stop it being amusing. Even more so when they show it on the News 24 channel and the presenter who has to appear before and after it obviously isn't amused!
