Heroes: Trying to get back in

Posted by Remote Control on September 26, 2007 5:44 AM |

HOLIDAYS are great for many reasons - but from a telly point of view, it throws up a real puzzler. How the bloody hell to do you get back into a TV programme once you've missed two episodes?

My big mistake was flying out on a Wednesday and return eight days later - therefore missing two episodes of Heroes (BBC 2 9pm). Am I at a point where I have to just give up and get the box set or do I try and watch it and catch up?

It's not the fastest-moving drama in the world, but it's picked up a pace recently. Fortunatley The BBC's Heroes site is pretty good at explaining it all, so I'm going to take the plunge tonight.

Well, it'd be rude not to, what with it being a double bill, it'd be rude not to.

Tonight, Peter is in police custody after being mistakenly arrested in Odessa, forcing Nathan to take time out of his Congressional campaign, in the first of tonight's double bill of the epic American drama.

Claire, meanwhile, deals with the implications of telling her father the truth, while Matt and Audrey pursue a new lead in the hunt for Sylar – unaware that the killer has been captured by Mr Bennet.

Hiro and Ando arrive in Odessa, but too late to "save the cheerleader". After Niki learns of alter-ego Jessica's recent actions, she must make a difficult decision to keep her family safe, and decides to get herself arrested. Mohinder takes fresh steps down his newly chosen path by coming back to New York and continuing his father's research.

Elsewhere, Isaac's painting of the exploding man comes into context with major consequences for the future of a certain hero, just as an even more mysterious painting is unveiled.

And that's just the first episode - Click here to see the previews.
