Admittedly, it wasn't the biggest news story of the week last week, but it was interesting all the same - Gladiators making a return to our TV screens.
I can't remember why Gladiators stopped on ITV - although it did seem to attract a lot of scandal.
But that hasn't stopped Sky One digging it up, brushing it down and adding it to its schedules for later this year.
And fair play to them, it could work. After all, the original Gladiators worked on several levels - it kept the kids amused on a Saturday teatime, and it kept Dads amused too. Mums were probably quite relieved for the peace and quiet it brought.
So far, we've been told John Fashanu and Ulrika will present, and hopefully the referee, with his unqiue Scottish accent will be back announcing 'contenders ready....' in a way only he can!
As for the gladiators themselves, they'll be new, we're told. And if they want a comedy one just to spice things up, they won't go far wrong with this batch...
