Spooks is back. Sort of
For fans of Spooks from the start, the last series was, to say the least, a bit disappointing.
The switch from self-contained episodes to one long plot (Britain v Iran) was ok, but when you compare it with the opening couples of series, you soon realise it's gone off the boil a bit.
Thankfully, UKTV Drama has found a purpose in life which doesn't involve re-runs of Dangerfield, and is showing the early days of Spooks.
So for those who keep griping that Keeley Hawes was much better in Spooks than Life on Mars, you should be in clover.
For the rest of us, it's a chance to remember just how good Spooks was. Welcome back.
